Biography
Growing up in a sporty family alongside her basketballer brother Kate thought this to be her future, however the saturation of basketball 24/7 made her run in the opposite direction, immersing herself in dance, aerobic gymnastics and visual arts.
Kate discovered circus as a teenager and thrived on the opportunity it presented to combine her physical training and creativity.
Kate went on to study a Bachelor of Circus Arts at the National Institute of Circus Arts Australia (NICA) where she graduated in 2013 emerging as a specialist artist in rope, tissu and German wheel.
Since graduating Kate has performed locally and internationally at various corporate functions, festivals, stage shows, cabarets and on board a cruise ship. In 2016 Kate decided to further her training with the professional course at Gravity Circus Center(London) where she graduated majoring in rope.
Kate’s dream is to combine visual art with the physical performance of circus and she enjoys collaborating with other performing artists and visual artists.
